Managing DirectorPrior to establishing Nalu Capital, Stefan was a Managing Director at Citigroup Global Markets London. In 1996 he established and ran the equity exotic options trading desk at Citi’s European headquarters. There he ran one of the largest, most active, and consistently proﬁtable equity option trading and market-‐making teams globally. He was credited with developing a number of innovations in the interbank option market.
More recently, Stefan ran Citi’s European structured products business where he was able to utilise his knowledge and experience to develop a range of investment products and funds. Over $50 billion of these investments were successfully placed with high net worth and institutional clients.
Earlier in his career Stefan held a trading and structuring role at Bankers Trust.
DirectorLeon is a former Managing Director at Citigroup, with more than 20 years of experience in multi-strategy derivatives research and investing. He is an expert in trading derivative-based strategies, having built up an impressive track record of successful trading through the financial crisis in 2008-9 until the present time.
During his tenure at Citigroup, he routinely supplied leading hedge funds with daily trading ideas covering areas such as volatility, event driven, macro, fundamental, credit, statistical, multi asset, convertibles, new securities, and hedging. Leon built up a loyal following among the largest and most sophisticated hedge fund clients.
He holds a BA in mathematics and a Master’s in philosophy from the University of Chicago. Leon is an innovator and investment professional. Leveraging his experience in complex derivatives, as well as his natural analytical ability and strong academic background combining mathematics with philosophy, he has developed a unique and highly effective investment style.
Managing DirectorKlaus started his career in 1992 at Bankers Trust Equity Derivatives Sales and Trading in Frankfurt. Prior to this he completed an apprenticeship in Banking and studied Applied Economics at the Johannes Gutenberg Universität in Mainz. He was appointed Head of Warrant Sales in 1996.
Klaus joined Dresdner Kleinwort in 1997 and went on to become Global Head of Securitized Products overseeing related sales, trading and structuring activities in Europe, Asia, and the US. In addition, Klaus took responsibility of realigning the equity derivatives activities (Sales and Trading) in Milan and Paris until 2004.
In addition to his global role, Klaus was appointed CEO of Dresdner Kleinwort Zurich in 2006. He ran the capital market business and represented the firm in front of the regulator as a FINMA approved managing director until 2011. Klaus remained a board member of the Deutsche Derivate Verband until the integration of Dresdner Bank into Commerzbank. He contributed to the integration and later took over the responsibility for Equity Derivatives Institutional Sales for Germany, Austria, and Switzerland until May 2013.
DirectorBob Faber previously founded and acted as Managing Director of Fideos Corporate Trust Services, held a managing position within the Tax department of E&Y Luxembourg and Andersen, and gained extensive skills in HNWI structures in a large European Bank at the beginning of his career.
He holds a master’s degree in economics from the University of Strasbourg, a post-graduate degree in corporate tax law and is a Luxembourg certified chartered accountant.
He is a Luxembourgish national and fluent in German, English, French and Luxembourgish.
DirectorOliver Brazier has in-depth experience in real estate related equity/debt raising, investment transactions andfund management (incl. SICAR structures), gained at managing positions throughout Western and Central Europe (i.e. FREO Group, Dresdner Bank, CGI, CERPF/Lehman Brothers, Insignia).
Following an apprenticeship as a banker in Germany (“Bankkaufmann”), he graduated in politics and economics at the Institut d’Etudes Politiques in Paris. He also holds a post-graduate degree as a real estate economist (“Immobilienökonom”) from the European Business School.
Oliver is a British national and fluent in English, German and French.
DirectorGerry worked for Commerzbank, Citigroup and in the re-insurance and fund management business. His expertise is in customer service , cash management, settlement, corporate actions, NAV release and compliance with the company investment strategies.
He currently holds several positions as board member in Luxembourg based investment funds and is a member of the board of Finexis S.A., a management company under the supervision of the CSSF.
He is fluent in Italian, Luxemburgish, English, French and German.
DirectorJonathan has worked in the financial services sector for the past 16 years. He began his career at a small IFA practice in the City of London, which subsequently became part of the Lighthouse Group Plc. He specialises in advising his clients in all aspects of financial planning, specifically in the areas of investments, tax and pension planning.
In 2007 he co-founded Lanner Capital, an FCA authorised City-based wealth management firm which specialises in advising high net worth individuals on bespoke investment opportunities, and long-term wealth planning. During the last ten years, he has raised equity and debt capital for a number of specialist alternative investment funds that have been promoted by Lanner Capital.
In 2012 he co-founded Falco Capital, a boutique asset management company that specialises in originating and asset managing a wide range of investments which consists of Real Estate, Infrastructure & Credit opportunities throughout the UK. Jonathan is involved in all aspect of deal origination, structuring, execution and delivery.
He is a member of the Chartered Insurance Institute and holds a DipPFS in Regulated Financial Planning.
DirectorBernard has over 20 years of experience in Private Equity and Real Estate. Prior to setting up a structure to invest in early stage PE, he succesfully managed and exited an export company focused on the Middle East and Africa. From 2002 on he invested in 30+ Technology (ICT, Renewable, Logistics) companies. Parallel he used that experience to directly invest in Small and Medium Enterprises in a very broad scale of industries, adding experience and focus. He is now an active director in different kind of (regulated) structures whilst focussing his investments on Real Estate (Vietnam, Portugal, Belgium) and Private Equity trough specialised funds.
DirectorOlivier has been in involved in financial markets, real estate and venture capital in Asia for 20 years and in Vietnam for almost 10 years, specializing in residential and hospitality real estate developments. He serves on the board of various domestic and regional companies and is President of the Columbia University Alumni Association, Vietnam and is an active participant in a range of corporate social responsibility and charity organizations in Vietnam. Olivier received an MBA with Highest Honors (Beta Gamma Sigma) from Columbia Business School, NY and is currently pursuing a Doctoral degree in Finance at Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
Olivier is half Vietnamese and half Luxembourgish and is fluent in English, German, French and Luxembourgish and conversant in several Asian languages.
